In today’s society it seems as if “likes” are equal to validation. If your post/pic/story/video/song gets “likes”, then that makes it good. If people like you, you’re cool. If people like what you do, you’re good at it. If people like the way you look, you’re beautiful.

STOP!

It’s not true.

Yes, it feels good to get likes, on and off social media. I’ve fallen prey to this culture myself.

But your beauty/talent/worth does NOT depend on whether or not you get likes, whether or not others think you’re cool or talented or attractive.

God created you specifically and uniquely to be YOU.

God loves YOU.

YOU are a magnificent creation of the Almighty God and Creator of the Universe.

It doesn’t matter if you’re…

Tall, Short

Thick, Thin

Rich, Poor

Black, White

Fair, Freckled

Blonde, Brunette

Dark-haired or redheaded

A supermodel or a soccer player

An actress or an engineer.

You are…

“fearfully and wonderfully made”

Psalm 139:14

Never forget that you are a beautiful creation, you are loved by the Author of Love, you have the power through Christ, to overcome the world and to achieve the most impossible dreams.

“we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

Other people don’t validate you, GOD does.

Other people don’t determine your worth, GOD does.

“Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

What other people think about you doesn’t matter. It matters what YOU think about you and what GOD thinks about you.

When you look in the mirror every day, don’t look at all the faulty things, look at all the GOOD things.

Keep doing it.

Not to become proud, but to gain a healthy self-image and realize your true beauty.

Without God we are nothing. With God we are royal heirs to the kingdom of heaven.

You are a beautiful creation of the Lord, created by Him for a specific purpose, to fill a place in this world that no one else can. Your beauty and worth come from the Lord.
