The release date of my novella Mona Lisa is twenty days away! Can you believe it? In honor of the occasion here’s a sneak peek into the life of my leading man, Brogan.

 

Brogan Shay is twenty-one years old. He was born on the tenth of November 1779 and grew up in the small seaside town of Carlingford on the Northeastern coast of Ireland.

Brogan works with his father and three brothers at the family blacksmith shop where they work hard to make a living and service the town’s metalworking needs.

Brogan was engaged to marry his childhood sweetheart, Alannah Sheenan. However, she died from an influenza outbreak two years ago and left Brogan to try to pick up the shattered pieces of his life.

Brogan is a handsome, hard-working man and many women would be glad to take him as their husband. However, Brogan’s heart still aches from losing Alannah and isn’t ready to love again.

But whether he’s ready or not, there’s one woman who seems to be able to stir up his heart like no one else can. Love is the farthest thing from his mind, however, as he matches wits with Mona McLeod.
