Are your life and your actions reflecting #Jesus? Do the things you do and the things you support, point people back to him? If not, it’s time to change.
We all sin and we all make mistakes, but we should learn from them and turn from them. We, as Christians, must remember who we are and Who we represent.
“Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2
We are called, not to become part of the world, but to be #NOTW, not of this world. We are called to be more, not to be shadows, but lights in a dark world. The things that we do and the things we support can make a difference, not only in our own lives, but in the lives of others as well.
“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16
If we are calling ourselves Christians, then our lives should reflect that. If they don’t, then how do we expect non-believers to take our faith and our witness seriously? How do we expect to represent Christ, when our lives and actions are reflecting something different? So be careful how you live, be careful what you say, and be careful what you do, because it matters not only for your own spiritual welfare, but for the souls of those around you who need you to be an example of Christ’s love.
Is your life pointing those around you back to Jesus?
